QotD: Eleventh time's the charm, I'm sure

Comments

Eleven on the eleventh. That's got to be charmed. :)
Oh, yes indeedy... 11 on the 11th. ;-)

Was thinking about you today, red. Sending you good mojo.
11 is such a nice number. It's like 1 with a buddy. That's got to be good!
Good luck!
Am sending good luck vibeyness your way.
Keep the faith. Another writer webfriend of mine, who faced many, many rejections, just got word that a story of hers will be published in a book. There's a Japanese proverb that says: “Fall seven times, stand up eight.” Keep falling, you're bound to stand up eventually! ;-)
For me, somewhere around 12 to 15 rejections to 1acceptance is the usual ratio. YMMV.

Damn, Mercury's still in retrograde? No wonder I had to take the car back to the shop this week.
My mileage may really fucking vary ;o)
If I am indeed supposed to count my recent acceptance as a 2008 acceptance, then my 2007 short story stats are 27 rejections/27 submissions. My novel query stats, similarly bleak. That's how I know this year has to be better.

So... some very polite lawyers for the Japanese toy company Toho tell me I can't use the Godzilla graphic anymore. Or any dinosaur or lizard graphic. I've been a bad girl.
