We have Randy - who is similar - running around like a caged animal finally released and knocking over things as he goes. Last night he managed to break the handle off of this really old pitcher. I'm not even sure how it happened. I'd forgotten about the laser pointer fun - and he is just about the right age to completely obliterate everything if we only had the batteries for the one in the drawer. Sounds like fun! I just spent about 45 minutes untangling his toy on a string - I finally resorted to scissors at the very end of the ordeal - but I'm much more fulfilled now.
That... was a cat....? Is she half kangaroo?
Lol!
So great to see those springy legs!!
Wow.
Wow.
Wow.

...

...wow.
Randy is worth it--happy cat, happy home.

And yes, there is something...not normal about Flanny. She has the most incredibly powerful legs I've ever seen on a cat. The down side is that it's hard to make her do anything. Just try making her get into a cat carrier. Ha!

my kittro isn't quite that jumpy, but she is a jumper. she got on top of the upright treadmill once. and regularly ends up on top of the pantry shelves.

oh, and she has discovered jumping onto my bookshelves recently. which is rather amusing until she starts knocking stuff off them. so aggravating.

and yet, she is the cutest thing since evar!

Yes, the knocking stuff off. Flanny is a bit of a physicist. She is constantly experimenting to see what things are affected by gravity.

if Kiki isn't knocking things off shelves, she's on my desk, trying to get the pens off the desk, or otherwise trying to aggravate me. it bugs me when she gets on my desk, and she just looks at me while i yell.

she's kinda skittish though. never quite got over that stage, i guess. i don't make things better, because i chase after her sometimes. i'm a mean mommy like that. i like to man-handle my cat. thankfully she doesn't mind being man-handled. much. :~)

Flanny jumps like a rabbit - check my latest post for more...
I JUST did! I love the crazy little hybrid looking bunny leaping over the sofa cushions!
That's fantastic. My orange boy Jupiter used to jump with almost that much energy, but he's getting older - doesn't bounce like that these days.
[this is good]
Flanny is amazing! We too have a orange boy who used to jump, but he's much plumper and less bouncy nowadays. He used to jump up to grab hold of the freezer door handle and hold for a few seconds. Now he just sits and looks at the fridge.
[this is good]

That is hilarious!!!!

I would love to see that in person. Especially with my dog present. He'd FREAK.

lol.. that's great!
TK does this too. Nothing is safe from him. He'll climb up on top of shelves and then push against the ceiling, as if to say "I want to go UP more! Why is there no more UP?!"
Sounds suspiciously like Flanny's "cat ghost hunt." She climbs on the highest thing in the room and then scratches madly at the ceiling, as though she can "sense" something on the other side of the plaster.
Mice perhaps? Or beetles? Cos our cat did it (may she rest in peace) and we discovered we had woodworm.
TK doesn't scratch or look for anything -- just wants more UP. He gets the thousand-yard stare, looking for UP.
