Great tits cope well with warming
The birds! I'm talking about those little great tit birds, you pervert. Apparently they're doing well despite climate warming in the British Isles. (I was going to add a picture of adorable baby tits to this post, but just as I was typing "great tits chicks" into Google, I realized how close to danger I was.)
I dunno, I just thought it was a brilliant headline. One of those journalism success stories.
Swayte Jaysus. It's Friday finally. I wasn't sure we were going to make it here. It's also Stop Day, the last day of the semester, which means I have twomore frantic weeks of work before the next stage of the Great Brain Tumor Hall Migration. Then at long last: summer. Quiet and calm and plenty of time to write and mess around. And Vox!
Also, as an open note to the rabbits in my yard. Look, little guys, there are only four of you and I have a lot of dandelions. So while the nibbling is adorable, you really need to pick up the pace on eating. Thanks.
How's everyone else today? I don't ask often enough, but how are you?

Great Tits Chick - yes, that could have been a disaster. I once googled Heidi in images with safe search off (my default - I am a growed up). Oh my, who knew Heidi was such a pornographic name!
doin better now it's friday! except I might have to rent a boat to get home.
lol, good call on calling off the google search. yeep.
Stop Day. who's the genius that came up with that name?
Things are good here! Spring has arrived!
I'm good, thanks! It's good to be back to the states though I was tempted to join the rest of the ex-pats and live out my days with a sexy Mexican husband and weekend trips to Acapulco for the rest of my life but alas...
And Great British Tits are better than Great Dutch Ones at warming - Hah! (waves small union jack)
In the states there are Titmouses. Birds. They have the cutest eyes on the planet. Their little peaked heads with those cartoonish eyes, make my morning at the bird feeder. (they make Genghis' morning too, whilst he is at the window)
There has been the wildest weather here of late. Tornadoes, flash floods....I saw pink lightning last night. oooo-weee-oooo
My son is with me again, off for the summer. It is good to have him here, even with his pouting sessions at having to help around the house (he just wants to play music and video games or hang with his homies). I know at night when I go to bed, he is safe.
Cheers, woman, and rabbits loooove Romaine lettuce. maybe if you sprinkle a few leaves amongst the dandelions...
