FISA (Finding Indignation Somehow after All)

George Carlin was right. It is all our own fault. George Mason would be raising an army by now.

Here, here!
I feel like a new wave of apathy has been setting in again. I can't help but think of this.

Excellent post. I'm completely in agreement about FISA. Oddly, about this I have to admit I made no phone calls. I rang my representatives so many times last year that I'm numb. Not actually numb, despondent.
Thank you for throwing your two cents in. Yours is far more articulate than my flailing enraged rants have been on the subject. It's upset me so much and I really feel that it's over now, I've always believed that once governments have something that allows them to more easily control the citizens they govern they don't give it up. It's not in their interests. The only way such things are ever given up is through revolution, and as long as the drooling populace keeps it's attention firmly set on Osama and the Taarrists across the pond then there's no risk of that.

"Take away our intangible rights, the ones we can't see well enough to know when they disappear, and people don't take up arms against the government." True. And generally, the intangible rights are a far greater loss.

I agree with Toe-Knee - you are so articulate (you and OtherLIsa) when it comes to these things... I think I'm just gonna quote you.

So... some very polite lawyers for the Japanese toy company Toho tell me I can't use the Godzilla graphic anymore. Or any dinosaur or lizard graphic. I've been a bad girl.
